Dr Daelyn Vivers (previously Dr Dae Cullen) is a Sports Physician recently arrived in Brisbane from Perth. She has had significant involvement with rugby union in Perth and currently is the assistant doctor for the Western Force, and previously had ten years of involvement in community and State rugby, as well as Match Doctor for all international games during that time. Daelyn has also traveled with the Hockeyroos and hockey development squads overseas during 2001-2005, plus been involved in many sports such as running and triathlon, motorcross, basketball, swimming, tennis and even kite surfing. Daelyn has recently been designated as the doctor for the Queensland Academy of Sport Swimming Team.
She gained her Specialist qualification in 2007 and since then has been the State Training Coordinator for Sports and Exercise Medicine in Perth; and previously was the Medical and Education Director for SMA (Sports Medicine Australia) for three years.
Over the last four years she has reduced her team involvement due to the birth of her two boys, but is looking forwards to being involved with looking after teams again and the challenge of starting as a Sports Physician in Brisbane.
Daelyn enjoys managing acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries – such as patellofemoral and knee pain, shoulder impingement and bursitis, hip injuries, back and neck problems, and foot pain. She has had significant involvement with runners, and more recently motorcross injuries as well as her interest in rugby.
