Dr Tom Hilton (Senior Registrar)

Dr Thomas Hilton graduated from Monash University with honours in 2004 & later completed a Masters of Sports Medicine through the University of Queensland.
Prior to entering the field of sports medicine he practised emergency medicine. He has worked in numerous areas, including remote NT hospitals & even disaster relief in Myanmar after Cyclone Nargis.
Dr Hilton is now a senior registrar, undertaking advanced training in Sports & Exercise Medicine through the Australasian College of Sports Physicians. Prior to moving to Queensland, he was working with elite athletes at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
Currently he is the national team doctor for the Australian Diamonds netball team. He is also looking forward to roles this year with Netball Queensland & the Easts Rugby Union Club.
Dr Hilton enjoys managing adult & paediatric musculoskeletal complaints of all kinds. However as a marathon runner & triathlete himself, he has a particular interest in endurance sport injuries (running, cycling, swimming & triathlon).
